Obituary of Elizabeth Carragher
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, July 29, 2021 Elizabeth “Betty” Carragher of Stratford, who resided at the Mount Continuing Community for the last several years, age 89 years.
Betty was the loving wife of Gerry, who predeceased her in 2011. Loving mother of Kathy Clow (Gordie), Patsy Fullerton (Barney) and Dawn Jewell (Edwin). Betty will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Jeffery (Ileana) and Lindsay Long (Markham), Sarah MacDonald (Derrick) and Katie Fullerton and Emily, Jordan and Alana Jewell. Great-grandmother of Gabriella, Nicholas and Vera. Sister of Pearl Trainor, Joyce Hann and Kay Jay. Sister-in-law of Mary, Marie and Patsy Carragher. Fondly remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Vincent and Tina (McCormick) Trainor, brothers Louis and Basil; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ernest Trainor, Garfield Hann, Donnie Jay, Helen Keefe (Leslie), Frank (Edith), Ralph, Eugene (Rita), Leo, Louis (Mary) and George.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions, a private visitation and funeral service will be held.
Interment will take place at Our Lady of the Assumption Cemetery, Stratford.
Memorial donations may be made to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
