1941-2021
Elizabeth Rose Best – 79, of Kentville, Kings
County, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in the Valley Regional
Hospital. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Minnie
Blanche Barkhouse and Eldon Barkhouse. She is survived by a son, Peter
(Lynn) Best, of New Minas; daughters, Carol (George) Best and Tracy
Best, both of Kentville; brother, Gerald (Donna) Barkhouse, of
Canning; and sisters, Ann Heslegrave, of Kentville; and Sharon
Greencorn, of Habitant. She loved all her grandchildren, Gregory
(Kandice) Best, of Kentville; Adam (Trista) Best, of Centreville;
Stephen (Barbie) Best, of Aldershot; and Brandon Best, of Kentville;
and great-grandchildren, Dakota Lee, Alia Reta Elizabeth, Gaston
Gordon, Kyson Gregory and Hailey Reta. In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her infant granddaughter, Kaitlin; brother, Robert
“Bob” Barkhouse; and sisters, Rita Beharrell and
Dorothy “Dot” Pineo. A private family graveside
service will be held in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County.
Donations in memory may be made to Lung Cancer Research, Breast Cancer
Research Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
