Elizabeth “Liz” Anne Mildred Farren, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 3rd, 2021 in Port Hope surrounded by family.
Liz was born September 23rd 1962 in East York to Betty (née Freeman) and Clayton Lang.
She joined RBC in 1987 where she met her future husband, Bob Farren. They wed on December 31st 1990 and welcomed their daughter Mary in 1992.
She loved visiting with friends and family, telling stories, celebrating milestones and everyday moments. She enjoyed reading, shopping, attending many of Mary’s dance classes and competitions, listening to rock music and her daily steeped tea from Timmies.
Recently, due to her deteriorating health, she resided at Regency Manor LTC. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers for their kindness, compassion, loving care, and friendship so freely given to Liz.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Matthew McKeigue; brother, Robert Lang; sister and brother-in-law Dianne Lang and Todd Lovelock; sister, Nina Cutrona; brother-in-law, Chester Smeltzer; as well as her large and loved extended family. She is predeceased by her mother and step-father, Betty and Ed Lawson; her father, Clayton Lang; her sister and brother in law, Maureen and Gord Heyink; and her sister, Eileen Smeltzer.
Liz’s family will be hosting a celebration of life at a later date.
