Elizabeth Joan Gordon Reed Monday March 22nd 2021

Joan Gordon of Stratford, passed away peacefully in her 86th year, at the Mitchell Nursing Home on March 22, 2021.
Born in Cambridge (Galt) on June 16, 1935, daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice Reed (nee: Crump). She is survived by her children Jennifer Baird (Roger), Elizabeth Kavanagh, Lorraine Gordon and Margaret Brown (John). Grandmother of Elspeth Mainwaring (Alex) and Gordon Baird (Michelle). Great-grandmother of Henry and James. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Lorne Gordon, whom she married on May 21, 1955 at Trinity Church in Galt. (deceased 2009)
Joan raised her busy family in Preston, and will be remembered by many from her years of work at Cambridge Hydro. Joan and Lorne enjoyed over 20 years on their retirement property in Arden Ontario. Many thanks to Caressant Care Woodstock and the Mitchell Nursing Home where she received exceptional care.
As Joan often said… ”Every day is Mother’s Day.”
Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
