was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Caroline Smith. After
Elizabeth’s parents passed away, she and her husband Maxwell
moved to NB in 1992 to be closer with their son Wayne and his
family.
Elizabeth was a kind
and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was
also a kind and loving neighbour who took pride in cooking and serving
delicious meals to friends, neighbours, and the elderly in NL. She
always avoided any quarrels or bad feelings with friends and
neighbours.
Elizabeth was a
devoted member of her church and community. In Harbour Grace South,
she was an active member of the ACW and held an office there for five
years. In Harbour Grace South she had an office in The
Girl’s Friendly Society (GFS) and was also treasurer of The

also did voluntary work at the Interfaith Home for the Elderly where
she made many visits and carried some delicious meals for some of the
residents.
In Norman’s
Cove, NL she taught JA to a group of young girls and was an active
member of the ACW Foxtrap, NL. She was a member of the ACW
and The Church’s Friendly Society in Foxtrap as well as a
choir member of the All Saints Anglican Church. She did a lot of
visiting to The Group Homes and some private homes, she would often
deliver flowers that had been left over from funerals and people would
often say “There goes Bessie’s hearse, loaded with
flowers.”
In Riverview, NB she
was a member of the ACW of the St. John The Baptist Anglican Church,
The Altar Guild and sang in the church choir. She and her husband
joined The Order of The Eastern Star by becoming members of the
Fidelity Chapter #36 of Riverview, NB, where she held two different
offices for a number of years. She enjoyed her relationship with the
ladies of that order very much. She also joined the Lionetts of
Riverview and worked there until her health
deteriorated.

(Phyllis) Head, brother, William Smith, grandchildren: David, Andrew,
