Mrs. Elizabeth Ah Mao Wong
Mrs. Elizabeth Ah Mao Wong, 104, passed away peacefully at home, on the First Sunday of Advent, November 28, 2021, with her ever-present daughters Theresa and Anna by her side.
Mrs. Wong had lived the Gospel throughout her life. She was a loyal daughter, a caring eldest sister, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a faithful friend to all. Mrs. Wong set examples. She wanted her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson always to love, not neglect; forgive, not resent; care, not ignore; understand, not judge; and support, not abandon. All her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson have been deeply touched and inspired by her selfless love, ongoing generosity, endless patience, forever devotion, and evermore forgiving. With her prayerful support, her children and grandchildren have achieved success in their careers serving their families, society, and God.
She would always recite rosaries and prayers. Mrs. Wong will undoubtedly continue her interceding mission in front of the Throne of the Lamb in Heaven, showering bouquets of God’s grace on all her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and friends.
Mrs. Wong is survived by her children Ingrid (Paul Low), Theodore (Pui-Ting), Theresa, and Anna; her grandchildren Theodore Jr. (Lusi), Dominique, and Iris (Erik Rudman); and her great-grandson Ethan. She was preceded in death by her husband Foo Chung Wong. She was an invaluable partner of his business.
She will be with us at her wake on Friday, December 3, from 12:00–4:00 pm and 5:00-8:00 pm at the Holy Cross Funeral Home. The funeral mass will commence on Saturday, December 4, 10:30 am at the Chapel of St. Joseph. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery.
