Elfriede I Nowak Stumpp Sunday October 17th 2021

In loving memory of Elfriede I. Nowak (Stumpp) who passed away at 91 at Health Science North, Sudbury. She will be missed by her children Monika Dutchburn (Randy) of Sudbury and Richard Nowak predeceased (Patricia of British Columbia) and her beloved husband Felix Nowak predeceased. Oma to Ryann of Sudbury, Kevin of Sudbury, Trevor (Rachel) and Kimberly (Alex) both of British Columbia. Great Oma to Ashlyn and Eva. Dear daughter of Benedikt and Pauline Stumpp (Schmid) predeceased, brothers Gerhard (Lioba), Rudolf (Christel) and Richard (Anna Luise) all predeceased from Germany and many nieces and nephews. She left her homeland in 1949 with her young daughter to join her husband in Canada, but always kept a close connection to her family and roots in Germany which she missed greatly. She was a member of St. Patrick’s parish, Robinson playground and the horticultural society and was the happiest in her garden and flowers where she proudly won various awards. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and her marble cake and homemade soups were a family favourite especially the matzo ball soup. She will be greatly missed by her friends and her good neighbours. You will be forever in our hearts Mom and Oma. There will be private graveside prayers at Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the CNIB and Hearing Society, or charity of your choice would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Condolences and messages can be made at www.Lougheed.ca. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
