Eleonore Petermann 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eleonore Petermann at Hawthorn Woods Care Community, Brampton, on January 4, 2021, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Peter Stier. Loving mother of Anita Edger and Michael Petermann, and mother-in-law of Mandy Petermann and Ron Edger. Cherished Oma (grandmother) of Dylan, Alexa, Keith and Mikayla. Dear sister of Ingeborg Karg.
Eleonore was a strong hardworking, woman who came to Canada in 1958. While she never forgot her German heritage and love for Bavaria, as a citizen she came to appreciate Canada and all its beauty. She was an advocate for all animals but especially loved feeding birds and occasionally other wildlife she might find at her doorstep. Her home was not complete without a dog or cat, whether a rescue or a stray that she took in. She was an effortless baker and didn’t need a reason to prepare something, and share for all to enjoy. She loved celebrating any occasion with friends and family and was always the first one on the dance floor.
Her generous and caring spirit will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
In light of the current restrictions the pandemic has caused, a private graveside family service will be held at St. James Church in Colgan . Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to; World Wildlife fund (WWF), Ontario SPCA, PETA or the Humane society, in honor of Eleonore’s favourite organizations.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Eleonore Petermann 2021..
