Obituary for
Eleanor Zeran (Gallinger)
Eleanor Zeran (Gallinger) passed away at the Maxville Manor on June 20th, 2021, in her 89th year. She was the loving wife of the late Bert Zeran (2012). Eleanor will be lovingly remembered by her only remaining sibling, Ralph (Rita) of Strathmore Alberta, having been predeceased by her brothers, Don, Bill, John, and her sister Hazel. Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Connie, Gerry (Susan), Carol (Eric) and Becky, as well as nine grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
Eleanor was a loving and generous Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Her greatest joy was spending time with family in whose lives she played a very special part.
Given the current restrictions due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newington. A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held later in the summer.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at the Maxville Manor for their compassionate care and support as well as staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital.
In lieu of flowers please direct your thoughtful donations to Newington Wesleyan Church, the Maxville Manor or the Alzheimer’s Society. Online condolences may be made at www.brownleefuneralhomes.com.
