On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Wainwright Health Centre, Eleanor Marion Hobbs passed away peacefully, at the age of 89 years.
Eleanor is survived by her family; a loving mother to her children, Robert (Terry) Hobbs of Victoria, BC, Sylvia (Ray) Enstrom of Edgerton, AB, Janet (Bob) Altmiks of Morinville, AB, Kevin Hobbs of Grande Prairie, AB, Kathy Hobbs of Lethbridge, AB; cherished grandmother to her twelve grandchildren, Candice (Chris) Nevue of Victoria, BC, Ryan (Keri) Hobbs of Victoria,… Read More » BC, Wendy (David) Zwiers of Ottawa, ON, Sharlene (Jonathon) Tink of Australia, Tasha (Shawn) Riese of Edgerton, AB, Stacey (Robert) Jost of St. Albert, AB, Sean (Veronica) Schoenberger of Riviere Qui Barre, AB, Nikki (Alex) Unsworth of Fort McMurray, AB, Amber (John) Hobbs of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Kelsey Hobbs of Innisfail, AB, Lee Flohr of Toronto, ON, Kristan (Dan) Flohr of Lethbridge, AB; twenty-two great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
She predeceased by her parents, Melville & Sadie Marshall of London,ON; dear husband, Murray Hobbs; brothers, Leonard and Lloyd; sister and brother in law Edna and Jack Febrey; her son and daughter in law, Robert and Terry Hobbs; her son in law Joe Schoenberger; and great granddaughter, Violet Riese.
Eleanor was happiest when she was surrounded by her grand children and great grand children.
A private family service will be held at a later date. If so desired, the family suggests, memorial contributions be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
