Obituary of Elda Walsh
With family by her side, it is with broken hearts, we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Elda Walsh (née Morgan) of Ailsa Craig, passed peacefully on Monday, July 26th, 2021, at the age of 84. Devoted wife of James A. Walsh for 67 blissful years. Loving mother of Donna Walsh and the late Bill Simpson; Kim and Brent Drew; James E. and Kerri Walsh. Adored grandmother of Melissa Simpson and Andy Oomen; Brandon Drew and Dani Johnston; Damien Drew and Marissa Ouellette. Great grandmother of Luke and Allison Oomen. Daughter of the late Langford Morgan and the late Enid (McAlpine). Sister of the late Karen Haskell and Linda and Dale Bowers. Survived by her stepmother Jean Morgan. Elda will be missed by her sisters-in-law Ida and the late Owen Bice, Betty Matthews, Marjorie and the late Robert Harris and Charlotte and the late Gordon Walsh.
Friends will be received at Ailsa Craig Recreational Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley Street; on Friday, July 30th, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 31st, 2021. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Mission Services of London or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG.
