Obituary of Eileen Doris Oliver
Oliver, Eileen Doris
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our sweet mother and grandmother, of natural causes, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Ian Oliver. Loving mother of Dianna (Laurie) Cowie, Susan Cornell, Ian Oliver and Lisa Tapsell. Much loved grandmother of Rob (Shelley), Scott, Jennifer (Glen ), Chris, Clint, Kate, Tom and well-loved great-grandmother of Heyden, Logan, James and Kyle.
Eileen was an avid gardener who was not afraid to get down on her hands and knees and in the hair of the condo gardening committee. Affectionately known as “the cookie lady,” Eileen lovingly made treats and sweets nonstop for family, friends and neighbours alike.
She will forever be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit and putting others first.
In her own words: “I’ll walk beside all of you always, so you’ll never walk alone.”
Family and friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Covid Restrictions are required so those attending must wear masks and practice social distancing. Cremation will follow. If wished, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully appreciated. Memories and condolences may be viewed by the family at www.mccleisterfuneralhome.ca McCleister (519)758-1553.
