Eileen’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our precious Mom and Nana, Eileen Young, who passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford, Ontario, August 24, 2021. She was in her 100th year. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Frank Young of Toronto in 1990 and by her eldest son, Dan Young (Gail) of Trent Lakes, Ontario in 2021. She will be dearly missed by her son Nolan Young of Toronto, daughter Susan Durand and favourite son-in-law, Dave Durand of Paris. Eileen was the beloved Nana to her grandsons, Zachary Young of Toronto, Sean and Liam Durand of Paris. In earlier years she could frequently be found playing mini sticks hockey in the basement with Sean and Liam.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff both at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre, Brantford and Telfer Place, Paris for taking such good care of Eileen in her declining years.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. In accordance with Eileen’s expressed wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service. At some point in the future, Eileen’s ashes will be interred in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Scarborough, Ontario where she will be reunited with her beloved Frank. In Eileen’s memory donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre (www.sjlc.ca/) would be appreciated by the family.
