Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Vision Nursing Home, Eila Marie Belanger passed away at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband Alfred “Buster” Belanger, son Dan Belanger and brother Ollie Seppala. Loving mother of Ron (Dixie) McEachen, Fred, Patty (Roland) Nantais, Rick (Marlene), Art (Susan) and Diane (Rob). Treasured grandmother and great-grandmother of many. Eila will be remembered by her sister June (Bob) Strangway, sisters-in-law Jeanine Seppala and Katherine Danby, and many nieces and nephews. She worked at Autolite/ Prestolite for many years. Eila and Buster enjoyed dancing and going to parties, and their many trips to Hawaii. She adored her cats Teacup and Tonka. Eila will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions, those who wish to attend must each RSVP with a time to attend the visitation: signup.com/go/aVGwFWK . A private family memorial service will be held, followed by a burial of ashes in Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Parkinson Canada (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please)
