FOUGERE, Edward Norman “Eddy”
– Born June 10, 1952, in Canso, Guysborough
Co., he passed away unexpectedly in St. Martha’s Hospital on
Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was the son of late Gerard and Mabel
(MacNeil) Fougere.
Eddy was liked by everyone and was a kind, gentle and
generous person. He enjoyed cranberry picking, playing cards and TV
bingo. He spent his last days living in Canso Seaside Manor and we
wish to thank the staff for all they did for him. We will also send a
special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Eastern Memorial
Hospital, Canso.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Laura; brothers,
Patrick “Pat”, Michael “Mike”,
Vincent “Vince”, Joseph at birth; nephew, Frederick.
He is survived by sister, Mary Helpard (Ron); brother-in-law, Clayton
Haines; sisters-in-law, Joanne Fougere and Doreen Fougere; as well as
many nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to Doreen, whose help to
Eddy and Mary are deeply appreciated.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation and Celebration of Life
will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to
Canso Seaside Manor. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family
