Obituary of Edna Martha (Rooke) Polley
It is with sadness that the family of Edna Polley announces her passing on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Edna passed away at the Drew Nursing Home at the age of 95.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario on December 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bessie (Dixon) and Harry Dalton.
Edna was an Air Force member for four years and was heavily involved in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26, Sackville, being their Secretary for over 20 years.
Edna will be lovingly remembered by her son, Douglas of Barrie, Ontario; her daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Graham of Newfoundland; her six grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her son-in-law, Terry Negrych, as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband of 35 years, William Archibald Polley; her daughter, Evelyn Negrych; her four sisters; her two brothers, as well as by her daughter-in-law, Lorraine Polley.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. Edna’s funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11 am with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. The burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery. In keeping with Covid restrictions, Proof of Double Vaccination, a Government ID and masks are required. We thank you for your understanding.
