Edna Hayley Sunday March 28th 2021

Hayley, Edna
1918 – 2021
Edna Hayley, born on April 26, 1918 the daughter of Edith and Harold Hawkins, passed from this earth to heaven on March 28, 2021. She was one month shy of her 103rd birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Cecil of Harry Hayley and Sons Cement, her daughter-in-law Ana and her grand-daughter Sandra. Left to mourn her loss are her two sons, David Alexander (Nancy) of Morris Island and Gregory Egbert (Heather) of Prescott. She was blessed with many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Matthew and Laurie Hayley and their children Sofia and Spencer; Jessica and Michael Poole and their children JD and Dylan; Robert and Cherie Hayley and their children Ana Daisy and Isabelle; Leslie Dickson and her children Owen, Tessa and Elias; and David and Nickie Dickson and their children Amelia and Marcus. Also mourning her loss are her many friends that she collected during her life and with whom she would love to share a ‘wee’ glass of scotch and pleasant conversation. Edna was a keen bridge player and enjoyed hosting card parties. She was also a dedicated and active volunteer of both the May Court Club and Kiwanians of Ottawa and honoured by both groups with life-time memberships for her many contributions. Special thanks to the staff at the Forest Hill Retirement Home in Kanata for the excellent care that she received. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edna Hayley Sunday March 28th 2021..
