Glumm, Edith (nee Hutter):
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care in Kitchener, at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Hans (2017) for 61 years. Loving mother of Rose Morrison (Robin), Linda Roe, Peter Glumm (Cathy) and Christine Schiller (Tom). Proud Oma of Krystal, Matthew (Leah), Andrew, Debbie, Victoria (Shon), Dan (Melissa), Sarah (Sebastien), Jonathan, Taylor and great-grandmother of Joshua, Heather, Flint, Ryker, Elexis and Emma. Dear sister of Herbert Hutter (Friedl) of Germany. Predeceased by her sister, Regina Schaffler.
Special thank you to the staff on the second floor, Pioneer wing, at Chartwell Westmount LTC for their excellent and compassionate care.
Edith’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. A celebration of life service for both Edith and Hans will follow in the chapel at 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend please RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society Waterloo Wellington or the Heart &Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
