Edison’s Obituary
STELLARTON – Edison Fraser Langille, 92, Stellarton, formerly of Linacy and Pine Tree, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 6, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born on February 17, 1929, in Westville and raised in Granton, he was a son of the late Elmer and Mary Euthemia (Fraser) Langille. Edison was employed with the former Maritime Tel & Tel for 34 years, while operating his farms in Linacy and Pine Tree. He was a member of Trinity United Church, New Glasgow. Edison greatly enjoyed farming, hard work and earning money, which he used to help others. He enjoyed conversation, reminiscing, and studying family history. Edison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be dearly missed by those he loved.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Durece; sons, Clinton, Stellarton; Daniel “Danny” (Jessie), British Columbia.; Shawn (Paola), Ottawa, Ont.; sister, Irma (Graham) Fraser, Dartmouth; brother, Reginald (Vivian), Ottawa; sister-in-law, Phyllis Langille, Ottawa; grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Benjamin and Miranda; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Gerald; daughter-in-law, May Langille.
In keeping with Edison’s wishes, a funeral service will be held in the future.
