It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Ed (Edoino) Geogan at his home on Thursday, November 11, 2021. He was the son of Attilio Geogan and Severina (nee Doyon) both predeceased. Born in Ramsey, Ontario on May 19, 1932. Loving father of Sheri McInnes (Mark) of Rotterdam, Netherlands and Gary Goegan of Sudbury and he will be missed by their mother Nancy Korpela Goegan. Dear brother of Silvio predeceased, Nunzio predeceased, Mafalda Bugley (Jim) both predeceased and Irma Armstrong (Jim predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Ed started his career at CP Rail in 1948 as a telegraph operator in Missanabie, French River and Cartier, Ontario then as a station agent in Missanabie and a dispatcher in Schreiber. Last employed at CP Rail in Sudbury in marketing, sales, and rail car computers control. During his long career with CP Rail, he made many friends and acquaintances, especially on Lonsdale Avenue and especially his dear friend Kathy Stapleton who assisted him in his last years of declining health. He enjoyed reading, long walks, his vegetable garden, fishing, making his special pasta sauce and having fun with friends. At his request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation.
