Obituary for Dr. James William Spring
Jim died peacefully at home with wife and best friend, Gail, and children Jessica (Mohamed Ezzeddine) and Andrew (Jennifer Baltzer) at his side.
Born in Peterborough to Florence and the late Arthur Spring, Jim was raised in Ancaster and moved to Dundas after graduating from the Canadian Chiropractic College in 1976. He practiced in Dundas for 44 years and graduated from the Ontario College of Naturopathy (now CCNM) in 1986. Jim served as the Chair of the Board of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy from 1992-1998. He was president of the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE) for many years.
Jim was grandfather to Issa, Eva, Beatrice and Claere. He is survived by his sisters, Carole, Caren and Ellen.
Special thanks to Dr. Paul R. Saunders for his wisdom, support and friendship. Jim was grateful for the care he received from the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and for all the love and support from family, friends and patients. In lieu of flowers, donations to Food4Kids Hamilton or The Nature Conservancy of Canada would be appreciated.
