1943-2021
MacLean – The death
occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at the Prince
County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, of Dr. Allen L.
MacLean, of Summerside, aged 78 years. Born in Summerside, he was the
son of the late Hampden and Ruth (Sobey) MacLean. Survived by his
loving wife of 55 years, Carol (Jenkins) MacLean; daughters, Lisa
(Milford) Bernard and Dr. Robin MacLean (Dr. Corry Laureijs); his
grandchildren Sam, Anna, Mairi, Teo, Adia and Elsie; sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law, Fran MacLean, Rev. Gail (Dr. Gerald) Hopkirk,
Barb (Brian) Prowse, Franci (Dale) Cannon, Janice (Vance) Enman, Barry
Smith, David Jenkins (Danielle Lavertue), and Stephen (Brenda)
Jenkins; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son,
Tyler; brothers, William C. and Arnold E. MacLean; and by his
sister-in-law Kay Smith. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home,
Summerside. A private family funeral service will be held at the
Summerside Baptist Church. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside.
No visiting hours due to Covid restrictions. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations to the Summerside Baptist Church, Prince County
Hospital Foundation or Camp Seggie would be appreciated.
