Obituary of Douglas Young
YOUNG- Douglas Edmond. It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved husband and father on Friday, April 2, 2021 in his 75th year at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret (Winn), his son Jason (Annette), his daughter Sarah (Andrew), his sister Diane (Paul) Cook, his brothers-in-law Sandy (Kathy) Winn and Peter Winn. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his fur buddies Dexter and Dodger. He was an avid sports lover and an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, LA Dodgers and the Cleveland Browns. He had many lifelong friends who will miss him dearly and for those who went before him, we have no doubt they were waiting for him with and OV in hand. Special thanks to the Emergency Staff at St. Catharines Hospital, nurses Danielle and Sarah, the ICU staff, nurse Annie, Dr. Jennifer Tsang and Dr. Linda Lee. As per Doug’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date so family and friends can celebrate the life of a wonderful man. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or the Niagara Health Foundation – St. Catharines Site ICU. Online guest register and condolences are available at www.davidsonfuneralhome.com
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
