Doug and his wife owned D & J Appliance Service for 33 years, he enjoyed what he did.
Many customers became friends over the years. Before he would start his day he would join the boys at McDonalds for coffee and do cross words puzzles. Lunch time was at Donaldson for a hot dog and Aero chocolate bar. Doug loved his home and spent many summer days sitting on the veranda with friends stopping by to visit. Right till his last breath Doug told his family to be brave, that he loved them and thanked them for the wonderful life they had given him.
The funeral service will be held privately for his family in the chapel of the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St., W., Perth on Thursday August 19th, 2021.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to “Ride For Dad” fighting Prostate Cancer, 424 – 300 Earl Grey Dr., Ottawa, ON K2T 1C1 weblink.donorperfect.com/DouglasWilliamAnderson. Doug fought long and hard with prostate cancer that metastasized to the bones.
