We regret to announce the passing of the late Douglas MacMillan, on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines on January 22, 1936, he was the son of the late Charlie and Minnie (Miller) MacMillan. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.
Douglas spent his working life in Ottawa as an accountant for the Canadian Government. Retiring back to Sydney Mines.
Dougie is survived by cousins, Christina Miller, Brian Miller, Ann McConnell and Angus Miller of Sydney Mines and Angus Bern Miller of Florence.
Besides his parents Dougie was predeceased by his brother William.
A graveside service to celebrate Dougie’ s life will be held Friday September 10, 2021 at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sydney Mines. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
