ARTHURS, Douglas B. “Doug”
Passed away at his home, after a brief illness on February 8th, 2021 in his 91st year, 12 years after losing his beloved wife Lois on the same day. He is forever loved by his daughter Lori Robinson (Allan) of Belleville and his son Douglas Arthurs (Barbara) of Napanee. Much loved grandfather to Heidi Oare, Stephanie Oare, Katie Chiefallo (Robert) and great grandfather to Xavier, Kiah, Aijah, Adaya, Isabella, Gracie, Mila, Luca and Juliana. Doug is also survived by his sister Naomi Tompkins (Fred) of Belleville. He is predeceased by parents Harold Arthur Hoare and Georgie (Huffman).
Doug taught for 34 years at both Centennial Secondary School and Albert College, and was proud to serve as church organist at the Belleville Wesleyan Church on Everett St. for many years as well.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to QUINTE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICES, Belleville (613-962-7900). If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Doug’s memory are appreciated. He will be laid to rest at Stockdale Cemetery in the spring.
