Olson, Doug
At the age of 72, Doug Olson passed away at the Royal University Hospital on January 8, 2021 with his wife Sandra and son Blain by his side. Doug is lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra Rowan, his sons Jason (Tegan and their children Adam, Peytin, Jordyn, Trey), Blain (Sheri and their daughter Autumn and fiancé Alex), and Mark (Courtney and his daughter Mariska). He is survived by siblings, Les, Ella, Joe, Lois, and their families. Doug was predeceased by his parents Lester and Evelyn Olson of Spalding. Throughout his life, he enjoyed curling, golfing, country music, and dancing. Although Doug had a long and successful career with the National Research Council of Canada, his most prized accomplishments are his grand babies. A special thank you to Dr. Secord and Dr. Hartman, and to the teams of staff on 6100 at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon Cancer Centre, and St. Paul’s Urology Centre. A Private Celebration of Doug’s Life will held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Live-streaming will be available at www.faithproductions.ca/livestream .
