Dorothy was proud to have been born in New Hamburg and prior to starting her family, worked at Twin City Auto Parts and Kitchener Dairy in the 1940’s. She was a long-time volunteer with KidsAbility for over 20 years and the Gift Shop at Grand River Hospital for over 35 years. Dorothy had a strong faith and was a long-standing member of First Mennonite Church where she volunteered on various committees. Dorothy enjoyed travelling, cottaging at Chesley Lake Camp, staying active, cooking, baking, many long-time friendships dating back to the 1930’s and her one dream vacation on the Queen Elizabeth II from New York to England. She cherished her family gatherings and her beloved pets. Being independent and strong, residing in her own home was important to her and she took her last drive in her own vehicle on Sunday afternoon.
