Obituary of Dorothy Aileen Barton
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Dorothy Barton, wife of the late Robert E. Barton, announce her passing on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sus, NB.
Born on March 2, 1937, in Leonardville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Lois (Bishop) Musetta. After raising her children, Dorothy worked as an administrator for Maple Leaf Mills. Dorothy lived in Hammond River for over 40 years, then resided at Chateau Champlain in Saint John for several years, making many friends, before moving to Kiwanis Nursing Home, where she could be closer to her family.
Dorothy is survived by her son Rob (Kim) of Norton; Candace Sargent (Andrew) of Edmonton, AB, great-grand daughter Chloe Sargent; Mike Barton of Moncton, Tristan Barton (Jessica Wallace) of Sus; daughter Debbie Musetta (Murray Lambert), grandson Jordan Musetta-Lambert of Fredericton; brother, Ralph Bishop (Vera) of Charlottetown, PEI; sister in law, Garta Bishop of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery, when family and friends can gather. Remembrances in Dorothy’s memory can be made to Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sus, would be appreciated.
