Dorothy Mae Chase
1919-2021
Dorothy M. Chase formerly of Woodstock and Bull Lake, NB passed away
on August 13, 2021 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB.
Dorothy was born on February 7, 1919 at Steeves Mountain, NB, a
daughter of the late Judson and Sadie (Lewis) Lutes.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Pond (Carman); four sons, Wayne,
Glendon (Judy), Haldon (Sharon) and Kevin (Maureen); daughters-in-law,
Laura Saunders, Sharon Chase and Dorothy Chase; her brother Victor
Lutes (Mabel); grandchildren, Tammy Kelly (Terry), Stephen Clain;
Carla Brewer (Alvin), Tony Chase, Mark Chase (Normagene), Angela
Chase (Nathan), Todd Chase, Andy Chase (Cindy), Greg Chase (Debbie),
Michelle MacGregor (Rob), Chris Chase (Wanda), Michael Chase, Peter
Chase, Luke Chase (Cora), Corey Chase (Ashley), Alicia Chase, Heather
Chase (Ashley) and Kelsey Chase (Randy); twenty great grandchildren,
Megan (Mike), Jenna (Joey), Lucas (Christina), Mark Jr. (Nicky),
Jeremy, Blake, Gavin, Dustin (Ashley), Ryan (Chelsea), Morgan (Tyler),
Matthew (Maria), Michael, Addy, Hunter, Karsyn, Brian, Zack, Cole,
Chloe and Douglas; thirteen great great grandchildren and one great
great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband
Charles E. Chase; her second husband James Hourihan; a son Robert
Chase; a daughter-in-law Barbara Chase; a granddaughter Andrea Pond;
two grandsons Charles and Neil Chase; several sisters and brothers;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law in the Chase family.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday,
August 17, 2021 from 1 to 2 pm, followed by the funeral service 2 pm
in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Legere officiating. A
reception will follow in the funeral home dining room. Private family
interment at Temperance Vale Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dorothy, the family
has suggested the Temperance Vale Cemetery or Alzheimer Society.
