Dorothy May Jackson
Dorothy Jackson, 94. of Moncton passed away peacefully on
Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Murray
Corner, she was the daughter of Gordon and Edith (Walton) Stright.
Dorothy worked with the T. Eaton CO, CNR and retired from Salvation
Army.
Dorothy was a member of T.O.P.S., where she enjoyed their
social gatherings (Arby’s). She enjoyed attending church
faithfully when she was able. She was well loved by her
family and many friends. She was a loving mother and a proud Nanny to
her cherished grand children and great grandchildren. She was also a
special aunt to many nieces and nephews and a good friend to those
close to her. She loved knitting her famous dish cloths, solving a
good word puzzle or going for drives. She loved and she loved BIG! She
was funny and equally as stubborn, with a heart of gold. She
would be going nowhere but was dressed to the nines, earrings and
beads to match. She was just so much fun. Dorothy had very fond and
special memories from her beloved cottage in Murray Corner, where she
was surrounded by the love of family and friends. Dorothy loved the
water and she swam in the Northumberland Straight often, even in her
90th year.
Dorothy will be sadly missed by her daughter Joanne Coffey
(Doug) and son Stephen Jackson (Susan); grandchildren Jaime England
(Dylan), Justin Jackson (Caroline) and Julie Jackson; great
grandchildren Tylie, Tanner, Brady and Brock; sister Betty Banks;
brother Donald Stright (Violet) and many nieces and nephews. She will
also be missed by her dear friend Annette Bauer.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister
Thelma Biggs and brother Raymond Stright.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. John Li, for
his exceptional care and compassion (going above and beyond) for
Dorothy and extending the same to her family. Also, sincere gratitude
for the wonderful caring nurses of unit 3600 in palliative and the
Emergency Department of The Moncton
Hospital.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fergusons
