Dorothy Hicks 1931 2021

It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Dorothy Hicks, age 90, of
Sackville, NB. Dorothy passed away at the Moncton Hospital
on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a
daughter of the late Brae and Pearl (Allen) Turner.
Dorothy loved her role as a
homemaker/farmer and doting mother to James and Jerry. She also loved
taking care of farm animals and numerous pets and being outside. Well
into her 80’s she cross country skiied and went for walks and later
loved drives in the country. In her last year of life at Cedars Care
home she delighted the residents with her contagious smile and her
wit. She went as she always wanted to go… quickly and peacefully to
join her family and her GOD.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by sons
James, Sackville and Jerry (Stephen Puddle), Sackville; 3
Brothers, Douglas Turner,Sackville, NB, Walter Turner, Cambridge, On,
and David (Ruth) Turner, Dartmouth, NS.
Predeceased by her husband Donald;
brothers Harold, Clarence, and Arthur Turner and sister Pearlina
Ripley.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70
Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300). A family burial
will be held at the Sackville Cemetery on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at
5:30 pm.
For those who wish, donations may be
made to the Canadian Bible Society, or a charity of your
choice.
