At the CHU Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, on Thursday, September 16,
2021, at the age of 88, passed away Dorothée Brun
(née Babineau) of Dieppe, formerly of
Bas-Cap-Pelé. Born in Robichaud Office, she was the
daughter of the late Edmond and Sara (Bourque)
Babineau.
The love, friendship, and complicity she shared with her
husband Omer will be remembered by her children as the heart of a
loving family. Dorothée was a remarkable mother who cared
very much for her children. She gave them a love of reading, a care
for quality work, and shared her love of the sea. Her children and
granddaughter will miss her and her words of encouragement. She adored
her precious granddaughter Anh-Rafaëlle, of whom she was so
proud.
Dorothée enjoyed her long teaching career. She
taught elementary school in Saint-André, Robichaud Office
and Cap-Pelé, and to children with learning difficulties.
Her students and their parents greatly appreciated her way of
supervising her class with competence and kindness.
She is survived by her four children: Yves (Julie Auger) of
Montreal; Serge from Moncton; Josette (Eduardo Vidal) from Montreal;
Nathalie from Dieppe; her granddaughter Anh-Rafaëlle and
several nieces and nephews.
Dorothée was predeceased by her husband, Omer; her
three sisters: Marguerite, Elzéa and Rina and her three
brothers: Mélème, Réginald and
Louis.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral
and Cremation Center, 2642, Chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé, on
Sunday September 19, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm and Monday, September 20,
2021, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. At the request of the

The funeral will be held at Ste-Thérèse
d’Avila Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Monday,
September 20, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. At the request of the

L.-Dumont of Moncton for their humanity and the good care provided
during the last moments.
Dorothy loved to read and believed in the importance of
