Obituary of Dorothea Irene Moorhouse
Moorhouse, Dorothea Irene passed away peacefully at Babcock Community Care, Wardsville on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Raymond Moorhouse. Loving mother to Chris and Patty Moorhouse, Craig Moorhouse, and Joy and Rob Elliott of Tennessee. Forever missed by her grandchildren Cassandra Moorhouse, Cody Moorhouse, Brett Moorhouse (Jill), Kylah Warwick (Mark), Dani Johnson (Nathan), Kaeden Elliott, Scarlett Elliott, Molly Moorhouse, and by her great-grandchildren, Maderik, Kalum, Lakelyn Moorhouse, Oakleigh and Luxley Warwick, Jovie Moorhouse, Audrey, Jovi and Gemma Johnson. Dear sister to Sandra and Rob Earle. Dorothy was a nurse at Babcock Community Care, and known to many neighbourhood children as “Miss Dorothy”, librarian at the Shetland Library. She adored spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent summers at the beach in Port Stanley, had a knack for decorating and loved all animals. A special thank you to the caregivers at Babcock Community Care for all the love and care Dorothy received over the years.
A private family visitation and funeral service will be held. Interment at Shetland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell. Those wishing to leave an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society. Online condolences and donations may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com.
