Doris Elsie Hahn (nee Schafrick)
Doris died in the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2021 at Freeport Health Centre in Kitchener at the age of 79.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 56 years, the Rev. Konstantin (Konny) Hahn.
Doris will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Janet Klammer (Siegfried); her sister-in-law, Carol Schafrick; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; all of New York. She is predeceased by her parents, William Schafrick and Olga (née Kurtzrock) and by her brother, William Schafrick.
An avid gardener and homemaker, Doris was an invaluable support to her husband’s ministry in the parishes they served: Christ Lutheran, Harrow; First Lutheran, Logan and Redeemer Lutheran, Monkton; Good Shepherd Lutheran, London. Her cheerful disposition, willingness to serve and courage in the face of adversity will long be remembered.
She was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kitchener.
A memorial service for Doris will take place at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Avenue, Kitchener on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., with the Rev. Nolan Astley officiating. The service will also be available on livestream through www.erbgood.com or www.holycrosskitchener.org.
