1933-2021
HARCOURT, NB – Doris (Allen) Scott, 87,
of formerly of Harcourt, passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions
Nursing Home, on Monday, May 31st, 2021. Born
in Pictou, NS, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura
(MacKay) Allen. Doris was a very dedicated member of the Harcourt
Royal Canadian Legion Branch #75. She took care of everything that
needed taking care of in the Legion and held many jobs within the
Legion. She was a life member of the Harcourt Royal Canadian Legion
Branch #75, also a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary, membership
chair and was a past winner of the Legionnaire of the Year. She was
also a very active member of the St. Matthews Anglican Church in
Harcourt.
Doris leaves to mourn her loving daughter, Louise
Flanagan (Kenneth) of Harcourt; her three sons, Dean Scott (Jaunita)
of Moncton, Glenn Scott (Vivian) of Bass River, David Scott (Charlene)
of Harcourt; her nine grandchildren and thirteen great
grandchildren.
She will also be sadly missed by her only
surviving sister-in-law, Verna Ermen (Late Walter) of Bass
River.
Besides her parents, Doris was predeceased by her
husband, David Scott.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s
Funeral Home on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 from
11:00am to 1:30pm ONLY. A private family funeral service will be held
at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto at 2:00pm,
officiated by Rev. Christopher Ketch.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, a maximum of 50
people at a time are allowed in the funeral home and the funeral
service will be by invitation only. Masks are mandatory and we ask
that social distancing be respected.
Arrangements are in the professional care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto
(523-4252).
