Obituary
SCHEBEL, Doris
July 21, 1929 – July 7, 2021
Doris passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes at St. Paul’s Hospital. Left to mourn her are her husband of 66 years Joe Schebel, daughter Delores (Wes Tietz), son Joey (Queta), grandchildren Lindsay, Jeremy, Nathan, Nikita and great-grandchildren Treyton and Tyson. Doris was predeceased by her parents, several brothers and sisters as well as an infant son. Doris was a hard working Housekeeper at Jubilee Nursing Home in Foam Lake, SK. Her greatest passion was her family. She was a kind, generous, compassionate and forgiving individual. She also enjoyed her home and garden. She loved cooking and having family gatherings. There were many Happy Birthdays, Christmases, Easter and Thanksgivings spent around the dining room table. Doris gave freely and unconditionally to her family. She gave her time, resources and love. She loved to laugh and could appreciate a good joke. After a party she was the last to go to sleep no matter what time it was and the first to get up in the morning to get things ready for the day. A service to celebrate Doris’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Louise Avenue Congregational Church (1602 Louise Ave) in Saskatoon, SK. Officiating Pastors Dona Franklin and Steven Menshenfriend. In lieu of flowers please donate to your charity of choice.
