Doris’ Obituary
LUTZ, Doris Elizabeth, age 83, formerly of Auburn, NS passed away peacefully in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville on Saturday, December 18th, 2021. Born September 17th, 1938 in her grandparents, James and Elizabeth Seamone’s home in Auburn. She was a daughter of the late L. Albert and Margaret (Seamone) Rafuse. Doris attended St. Mary’s School and graduated from West Kings School in Auburn. She worked in the I.G.A. grocery store in Greenwood as head cashier. She later went to work as a nurse in the Mable Spicer Nursing Home in Berwick. Lastly, Doris retired after 23 years of service from the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre in Waterville, NS. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 25 years, Donald A. Langille and her second husband of 30 years, Clinton Lutz; brother Alfred James Rafuse; uncle George Seamone; cousins Marion Saunders, Velma Needon; stepdaughter Shelley; step granddaughter Ann. Doris is survived by stepdaughters, Debbie Lutz, Quebec; Laurie (Lutz) Sarty, Alberta; Susan (Doug) Reeves, Alberta; six step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren; special friend Sharon McBride, Aylesford. In keeping with Doris’ wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service, with a limit of 20 people, will be held 1:00 pm, December 28, 2021 in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton, NS, (902) 825-3448. Interment will be in the Morristown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
