BORNE (MILLER), DORIS ANN
March 10, 1943 – February 6, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Doris Borne announces her passing on February 6, 2021 at the age of 77.
Doris is lovingly remembered by her husband, Don, their son Russell, his wife April, and their son Spencer; their daughter Jolane; and her children Ben and Cyanne. She will also be remembered by her son Perry’s daughter Jessica McNeil, and her mother Susan McNeil. She will also be remembered by many extended family members on the Harms, Friesen, Miller and Hein sides of the family. Doris is predeceased by her sister Joan Harms (Miller), her son Perry Borne, and her parents George and Anna Miller (Hein).
Doris leaves behind a legacy of involvement at the church she loved, Wildwood Mennonite Church, involvement in various musical groups including the Saskatoon Fiddle Orchestra, Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra, and the many different orchestras she was involved in during her retirement years in Mesa, Arizona.
Doris will be remembered for her passion for music, gardening, and her selfless concern for the other. The love she had for her family and friends was immeasurable and will not be forgotten.
The family thanks all the healthcare professionals who have supported Doris over the years at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, Royal University Hospital, and Saskatoon City Hospital. The family also sends an extra special thank you to the staff at the Circle Drive Special Care Home who walked with Doris in the last days of her life.
The funeral service will be held virtually via Wildwood Mennonite Church on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11am with a burial at the new Hague Cemetery to follow in the afternoon.
