Obituary of Doreen Grace Dierx
Passed away peacefully at Hospice of Waterloo Region on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 64.
She was the daughter of Karl and Elfriede Paethke who emigrated to Waterloo from Germany in 1953. Doreen was a devoted wife to Jan Dierx, and proud mother to Nicole Dierx and partner Sunna Murphy. She will be missed by her brother Rick Paethke and sister Samantha Paethke. As well as her nieces; Jaclynn and husband Emerson, Sarah and husband Jack, Randi and partner Troy, nephew Patrick, great-nephews Grayson and Miller, and also her beloved cat Willow.
Doreen delighted in nature and will be remembered for her humour, her love of gardening, and her welcoming hospitality. She was the kind of person who would never see another go without.
At Doreen request there will be no public memorial service or visitation.
