Laird, Doreen Maude (WWII Veteran, ATS (British Women’s Army), Member of Royal Canadian Legion Br #25, Sault Ste Marie and Br#18, Wallaceburg). A resident of Port Lambton passed away on September 28, 2021 at the age of 95. Doreen is the daughter of the late Dorothy and Sidney Hopgood. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late John ‘Jack’ Laird. Loving Mother of Diana Monnette, Deborah-Gay Blais (late Serge) and David Laird. Cherished grandmother of Dorinda Diotte (Craig), Kerrie Graham, Dayna Porco (Frank), Garrett Acosta and great grandmother of Adaira and Vaughn Diotte, Harper and Paxton Graham and Matteo and Milania Porco. Dear sister of Eileen Carpenter (Roy) of England. She will be missed by her 2 nieces. Family and friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 10am until the time of her funeral service at 11am. Burial to follow at McDonald Cemetery, Port Lambton.
