Doreen Ella
(MacAloney) Brodeur – 76, Bible Hill, died at home
with her family by her side on Thursday morning, February 4, 2021.
Doreen
“Rene” lived her life with strength and determination that
was most evident in the love and care she gave to her family and those
she worked with as a personal care provider for several decades.
She is
survived by her devoted husband, Roy Edward Brodeur; daughters, Brenda
(Fernando), Darlene (John), Karen (James); grandchildren, Nathan
(Nancy), Adrian, Jesse, Jacob (Irene), Samuel, Jonah, Alice, Eric,
Elijah; great grandchildren, Ella and Adel; sisters, Silverine, Anne,
Nora; brothers, Gordon, Archibald, and David. She was
predeceased by her parents, Emmerson Murray and Marie Ella (Morris)
MacAloney of New Salem, Nova Scotia; sister, Kathleen; brothers,
Lawrence, Harold, Paul, Roger, Arden.
Graveside service and
interment will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021, Advocate
Cemetery. (Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a
maximum of 250 people can attend the graveside service. Masks must be
worn and physical distancing will apply. Please bring your own
lawnchair.)
In lieu of flowers, donations in
Doreen’s memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are
welcomed. (www.alzheimer.ca)

Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
