Obituary
It is with great sadness we, the family of Donald (Donnie) Frances MacDougall Jr, announce his passing on Thursday September 30th, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sydney Mines on June 13th, 1966, he was the son of Edna (Whyte) and the late Donald MacDougall.
Donnie was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter what needed to be done. He was a work horse when it came to getting the job done. He could be known to do some griping and complaining but still did the best job. He was known for giving the best nicknames to friends and acquaintances. Some of these names made you laugh so loud, but fit the person perfectly.
Donnie is survived by his mother, Edna; his sisters, Donna LeBlanc, Darlene, Judy (Robert) Serroul, and his brothers, Darryl and Duane (April). He is also survived by his two nieces, Paula (Ben) Boutilier, and Chelsea (Jordan) MacDougall; as well as his great nephew Wyatt. Also left to mourn are several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his two special friends who were more like family, Bruce Noble and Wanda Jean Pearo.
Besides his father, Donnie was predeceased by his niece, Patricia Dawn LeBlanc, in infancy; his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Jeanette Whyte, and paternal grandparents, Alexander and Elizabeth MacDougall.
Cremation has taken place. To respect Donnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A private family service will take place. He will be missed and always loved by his family and friends.
