Obituary of Donna Morton
Donna passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Saturday, April 10, 2021. Born on September 30, 1943, Donna May Morton (née Hewitt) of Owen Sound, was in her 78th year.
Dearly loved wife of the late Barry Morton (March 4, 2017). Loving mother of John Morton and his wife Julia of Shallow Lake, Kim Gill and her husband Marty of Tara, and Greg Morton and his wife Pam of Owen Sound. Cherished grandma of Amanda Gill (Sam), Nicole Gill (Jason), Jarratt Morton, Jodi Morton, Leigha Morton, Shelby Morton, and great grandma of Jace, Hudson, Austyn, Sophie, Arieana and Jeremy. Dear sister of Carol Moore (Jeff), Ray Hewitt (Sue), Jim Hewitt (Evelyn), Connie Vincent, and sister-in-law of Bill Morton (Sandy), Brenda Goodfellow, and Dennis Morton (Bridget). Donna will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents Willmontt “Bill” and Mabelle Hewitt, and by her brother-in-law Phil Goodfellow.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, April 15th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. With COVID19 restrictions guests must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and schedule a time by calling the funeral home or RSVP through the website. A private service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held and although it is private, friends are welcome to view the service via livestream on the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca), on Friday, April 16th at 1 p.m. The service will be led by Rev. Kristal McGee and interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs.
