Obituary of Donna Anne Greenwood
GREENWOOD, Donna – It is with great sadness that the final chapter to the old neighbourhood has been written. Donna Anne Greenwood (McKeever), age 86, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Donna was predeceased by her parents Harry and Laura McKeever, husband Paul (2007), son Stephen (2019) and daughter Laura Anne (2020) (Michael) Hardy. She leaves behind sons David (Janet), Marc (Carla) and daughter Lynda Miller (Jeff), grandchildren Christopher (Stephanie), Michael (Laura), Brendan, Joseph, Ryan, Meghann (Steve), Kaitlyn, Patrick, Liam, Emma and Nolan and great-granddaughter, Annie with more on the way. Donna was also predeceased by 8 siblings Francis, Eric, Joseph, Delores, Jack, Gerry, Raymond and Bernard. Donna’s life centered around her love of St. Joseph’s Parish Sarnia, her devotion to mass, the C.W.L. and her relationship with Jesus. She was passionate about parish bazaars, decorating the church at Christmas and Easter and caring for the altar. Known by some as the “Encyclopedia”, Donna had an uncanny ability to recount stories of the people and events of her life. A special lady to her friends and family, Donna led by example. She will be missed. Friends will be received at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Due to the restrictions of Covid 19 a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery . Please note that masks and/or face coverings are required for all in attendance. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Church C.W.L. (for maintenance and improvements to the church), 1011 Oak Ave., Sarnia, N7S 1J4.
