Bernatchez, Donna Rosanne (nee Penner) (March 20, 1975 – December 26, 2021) –
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter-in-law and friend, Donna Rosanne (Penner) Bernatchez, at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, on December 26th, 2021, at the age of 46. Donna is survived by her loving and much-loved husband of 27 years, Stephane J. Bernatchez, with which they shared many fond memories and are the proud parents to six wonderful children Ovilla, Olivier, Oneil, Milyn, Migan and Owen. Donna was an especially dedicated, nurturing and hardworking mother, who was proud of her Christian values; she lived by them and taught them to her children. Donna is survived by five siblings: Lynn (Darryl) Mansfield; Larry Penner; Joan (Michael); Jean Penner; and Sharon (late Vince). Also survived by her uncle Harry (Marlene) Penner, of Niagara Falls and by her mother-in-law Georgianne Levesque (late Robert). Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donna was a dedicated Personal Support Worker at Caressant Care, Woodstock, and member of New Hope Baptist Church, Tillsonburg.
In celebration of Donna’s life well lived, friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to attend a public visitation on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg. A Celebration of Donna’s Life Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 6th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Verhoeve Funeral Home Chapel, Tillsonburg, by Pastor John Twinem, of Springfield Baptist Church. Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Please note, due to government-implemented capacity restrictions, all visitation and funeral attendees must RSVP for an available timeslot by clicking the blue ‘RSVP button’ on Donna’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
