DOIRON, Donna Marie
After a short illness, Donna Doiron died peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, on Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was 54 years old. Donna was the beloved wife of Doug Doiron of Powassan; the much-loved mother of David Simpson (Alicia Beatty) of North Bay, Rebecca Hawthorne (Ryan) of Borden and Benjamin Doiron of Powassan; and cherished grandmother of Amelia and Hendrix Hawthorne and Eliah and Savannah Doiron. Donna is survived by her parents Catherine (McKeachiny) and George Simpson and her siblings Verna Muncaster (Tracey), James Simpson (Christina) and Brent Simpson, all of Sault Ste. Marie. Donna worked for many years as a Personal Support Worker at Lady Isabelle, Eastholme and Cassellholme. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Donna’s life and interment of ashes at Nipissing Cemetery will be announced at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Donna’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (address below) would be appreciated.
