Obituary of Donald Vincent Silver
Silver, Donald Vincent – 73, of Carlton Corner, passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday, September 5, 2021. Born in Bridgewater, July 1, 1948, he was the son of the late Carl and Eleanor (Wight) Silver. Donald work different jobs through his life; starting with United Elastic, where he worked for many years, then to Ontario where he worked for a gas company and drove truck for Metro Salvage. After retirement he moved back home to Nova Scotia, where he enjoyed doing odd jobs to keep himself busy, including splitting wood. In his spare time, Donald could always be found working on a puzzle book, which he loved to do. Donald is survived by his wife Patricia; daughters, Debbie Silver and Mary (Dexter) Tucker, both of Ontario; grandchildren; sister, Irene Christy, of New Brunswick; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jen; brother, Kenneth. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday, September 12, 2021, from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, with Major Paul Blake officiating. The service will be webcasted on the funeral home website. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Donald’s memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
