Obituary of Donald Raymond Stadler
STADLER, Donald Raymond – Passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, in his 86th year. Don is predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Beryl. He is also predeceased by his parents Tony and Helen and his brother Ken. Don will be dearly missed by his adoptive family (Shirley, Jun, and Leonard), his Aunt Anne, his nieces and nephews, his cousins, his sisters-in-law Mollie and Dorothy along with several longtime neighbours and friends. Don grew up in the Grimsby area in Ontario and later moved to St. Catharines, where he taught English and Latin for 35 years at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School until his retirement in 1995. Don was always full of life. He was an avid gardener, nurturing many plants and vegetables on his property. He was also an avid reader, never passing by a bookstore without making a purchase
Visitation will be held at Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., Vineland on Friday, July 2nd from 1-2pm with a private family service to follow at 2pm. Please visit the Tallman Funeral Homes Facebook page if you wish to view the livestream of the service. Due to the current Covid restrictions, pre-registration for visitation is required. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to any of the following charities: St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The Alzheimer Society of the Niagara Region, The United Nations Children Emergency Fund The Canadian Cancer Society, The Hospital for Sick Kids
