Obituary of Donald Lamondin
In the evening hour on March 13, 2021, Donald Leonard Joseph Lamondin lost his long hard fight with cancer. He fought the good fight until the very end.
He leaves behind his partner of 29 years, Susan Rennie, his step-sons Michael Evan Rennie (Patricia), and Gordan Ross Rennie (Lisa). Donald is survived by his siblings Warren (Glenna), Marlene (Danny) and Darlene. He was predeceased by his brother Wayne (Marilyn), his sister, Dianne (Frank) and his parents Gilbert and Margaret.
He worked with the Canadian Coast Guard with his last ship being the Samuel Risley. His retirement plans were everything he couldn’t do while working, watching television, going to Tim Hortons to drink coffee with new friends, cooking, and connecting with many members of his family and friends on his IPad. Boisterous and loving people, he connected with many new friends. He will be sadly missed by his many nephews and nieces and family.
Cremation has taken place with a Mass of Christian burial to be held at a later date.
Special thanks to all of the caring doctors on his team and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit and to all in the Dialysis Unit (his second home). A special thank you to Dr. Gretchen Roedde, and Dr. R. Goluch and all the other doctors from Health Sciences North.
In memory of Don, donations may be made to the Timiskaming Diabetes Program (Box 73
New Liskeard, ON – P0J 1P0) or to the Bikers Reunion (55 Whitewood Ave., New Liskeard, ON – P0J 1P0).
